Against Empathy: The Case for Rational Compassion

Our August meeting was a discussion of the role of empathy in guiding our moral choices lead by group secretary Tim Stephenson with a particular focus on the new book by Yale University Psychology Professor Paul Bloom titled “Against Empathy: The Case for Rational Compassion”. The videos above and below gave a taste of the position that were argued for, that of rational compassion.
