The next meeting of the HERHG will be at 7.30pm on Monday 18th June 2012 in the back room of The Tiger Inn, Lairgate, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 8JG. John Hawkins will be discussing the limitations of Darwin’s Theory of Evolution with reference to the work of well-known humanists such as Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett and the late Stephen Jay Gould. His talk is titled “Are Evolutionary Processes A Purely Scientific Phenomenon?” Whether you’ve been to one of our meetings before or not, why not pop down for a drink and a chat about the significance of evolutionary thought to humanism?
If you would be interested in attending the meeting but find transport difficult, please contact the group secretary (firstname.lastname@example.org) as we have members coming from as far as Bridlington who are happy to car share.
